Coastal Spirit Expeditions also offers sea kayak instruction at all levels. All instructors are certified with ACSKG, SKGABC or AECSKO. Courses will be based out of Pictou Lodge Resort.


Sea Kayak 1—Introductory Course

Students will learn the fundamentals of sea kayaking including safety issues, equipment design and use, basic paddle strokes, wet exits and self-rescues.
No experience necessary.

Sea Kayak 2—Intermediate Course

Students will review the basic paddle strokes and then proceed to advanced paddle strokes. Self and assisted rescues practised. Basics in navigation, weather and sea state covered.
Pre-requisite: Introductory course or equivalent
